He observed that there was no security threat in Yola to warrant the relocation pointing out that the association would complain to the Court of Appeal and if need be write the National Judicial Council.
Babakano also urged Adamawa state Government to also join hands in taking up the matter.
On the on-going strike by Judicial Staff Union (JUSUN) in the state, Babakano said that NBA was not happy about the four months old strike and had being trying to bring the parties involved to amicable settlement.
It would be recalled that the Adamawa Governorship/National Assembly and House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has relocated to Abuja for security reason.
A statement by the Secretary of the Tribunal, Falilat Oluwatoyin, said that the relocation was approved by the President of Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa.
” The Hon. President of Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa, considering the security of the Tribunal has constituted and relocated the Adamawa State Election Petition Tribunal to FCT High Court, Abuja.
“The Hon. Acting Chief Judge of FCT (Hon. Justice I.U Bello) of FCT High Court, has approved the use of FCT High Court as the trial court for the Tribunal while the secretariat is at the same venue”, the statement said.
“To fear the world US has led for the better part of a century, abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe and refuse the obligations of international leadership… for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solving problems is unpatriotic. “
