While addressing the national assembly, the chairman of the independent national electoral commission, INEC. Professor Attahiru Jega has promised to address the hiccups in the presidential election in the forthcoming gubernatorial election. He said the commission is working hard to correct the hiccups.
He commended Nigerians for the peaceful conduct of the March 28 election. According to Prof. Jega, ‘as we prepare for the governorship and the state assembly on April 11, we hope to record even better success in terms of the organisation of the election,’
Meanwhile, the chairmen of the committee on the commission at the senate and House of Representatives commended the chairman of the commission. They prayed that God almighty will guide him and they also showed gratitude to President Jonathan for showing civility. Senate Andy Uba said they were glad that the prediction of some members of the international community did not come to reality. He said apart from the hiccup of the challenges of card readers, the commission did very well.

They believe that by sponsoring this group to destabilize the country and trigger chaos, they will realize their ambition of escaping justice and then be free to dip their hands into the nation’s treasury again.”
