The Bayern Munich manager and former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has been rumoured as preparing to sign for Manchester City. After the crushing defeat of 3 – 0 of Bayern Munich by Barcelona in the semi-final match of the Champion league he has been under pressure.
This is also coinciding with the inability of the Manchester City manager Pellegrini to retain the premier league which was won by Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea. With the loss of the FA cup Middlesbrough, Manchester City is left without any trophy this season. There seem to be some level of agreement between Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola 44 however insists he is staying in Bayern Munich. According to the Spaniard, ‘Boys, I have said it 200 million times that I have one more year on my contract here. Next season I will be here and that’s all there is to it. He told reporters this as he prepares for the Wednesday return match against Barcelona. Fans however believe the Bayern manager has said this to allow his boys concentrate on the Wednesday match. On the possibility of cancelling the 3 – 0 deficit against Barcelona , he said ‘we are Bayern, before a game i have never said that we have no chance. Of course we do .’
‘It is disingenuous to accuse everyone who calls for restructuring as trying to break up the county. History tells us that that kind of cheap blackmail will not work as long as the underlying reasons for the agitations persist.’
‘The biggest challenge seems to be that we seem to be allowing moderate voices on this issue to be drowned out by the reckless utterances of a few rabble rousers on all sides who may be tools in the hands of those who do not wish this country well. These are some of the people who arrogate to themselves the toga of spokespersons of our diverse groups.’
