The chairman of the President-elect Muhammadu Buhari in coming transition committee, Ahmed Joda, 85 has denied that there is any rift with the Federal government transition committee. The national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lai Muhammed had earlier raised alarm that the outgoing Federal government was frustrating the efforts of the incoming APC government as they were not receiving the cooperation necessary. It was therefore, surprising when the former super permanent secretary and vastly experienced administrator said there was no rift.
The secretary to the government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim is response to reporters question on the allegation of Lai Mohammed said he has no response to Lai Mohammed as he is not aware of any conflict with the APC transition committee.
Ahmed Joda while speaking with journalists at the Presidential villa, Abuja said they were receiving all necessary cooperation from the outgoing government. He said the two committees were operating on the same page. According to him, ‘our committee has never said to anybody that there is no cooperation, we have never said that. We are waiting for the reports when they come.’ Anyim also told reporters that ‘there is certainly no issue. We are flowing and we have clearer understanding of the working of the two committees.
"They called Goodluck Jonathan, who gave you YouWIN and SURE-P, and PRESSID Scholarships clueless. So what do we call APC that gives you wheelbarrow? They said GEJ was tribalistic yet his NSA, CDS, IGP, CNS, CGP and minister of defense were from the North. So what do we say of President Muhammadu Buhari whose DG DSS is from his own hometown and whose Minister of Defense, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, NSA, IGP, CGP, CGI, CGP are all from his Northern Region? You see, no matter how far falsehood has travelled, it must eventually be overtaken by truth!"
