The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, is currently undergoing medical attention abroad and will return to the country as soon as his doctors are satisfied with his medical condition, his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Tony Amadi, has said.
According to a statement made available, on Tuesday morning, in Abuja, Mu’azu left the country last week and hopes to be back soon.
“The leader of the party, President Goodluck Jonathan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the party Chief Tony Anenih and Senate President Senator David Mark and members of the National Working Committee of the party are ALL aware of the Chairman’s medical trip abroad,” Amadi said.
He said that the PDP chair appealed to party faithfuls to be patient as the travails facing the party would soon wither away “and the party will be a united opposition to the incoming All Progressive Congress(APC) for the overall good of Nigeria.”
“To fear the world US has led for the better part of a century, abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe and refuse the obligations of international leadership… for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solving problems is unpatriotic. “
