President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday met the former chief of defence staff General Theophilus Danjuma in Aso rock in preparation for the presidential inauguration on May 29, 2015. General Danjuma is said to just come back from abroad from where he has gone for medical attention. The details of what was discussed by both men were not revealed to news men.
General Danjuma described President Jonathan as a man of history. He recalled the events of the civil war and said if Ojukwu had surrendered after the capture of Enugu it would have saved the nation of bloodshed. He said President Goodluck Jonathan has set a record and something to be emulated by African leaders and indeed the whole wide world. This is second time the President will be meeting General Danjuma. The president has also met with the President -elect General Muhammadu Buhari in preparation for the hand over.
