I will be Governor for all–Bindow

The Governor-elect for Adamawa, Sen Bindow Jibrilla, has declared that he would be governor for all, irrespective of religion, political or tribal affiliation.

Bindow made the declaration in Yola while addressing jubilant supporters of APC at the state party  secretariat.

” I want to thank the people of Adamawa particularly those who stood by us and brought me here. I want to assure the people of Adamawa that I will be a governor for all irrespective tribe, religion or party affiliation”, Bindow said.

Bindow also extended his hands of fellowship to members of other political parties in the state in order to move the state forward.

” Let’s join hands and work together for the peace and progress of the state”, Bindow said while lauding the support of President Elect, Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to his victory in Adamawa.

In his remarks at the occasion, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar described the victory of Bindow as historic and a death blow to politics of ethno-religious sentiments in the state.

” Today is a very historic day in the political evolution of our state. Today we are witnessing history in the making because as we are about to inaugurate an opposition party.

” This will not have been possible without the general support of Nigerians who yearn for change. We promised them change and not just change but positive one” Atiku said.

Atiku urged Bindow to make a difference in delivering dividends of democracy to  the electorates.

He listed areas of agriculture, healthcare, education  and resettlement of internally displaced persons as areas to be accorded priority by the governor elect, adding that he had also spoken to the President elect, Muhamadu Buhari on the need for a Marshall plan for the north east sub-region.
