Moddibo who debunked rumours making the rounds in the State that he has stepped down for the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress Senator Jibrila Mohhamed Bindow for the April 11 gubernatorial poll. He said that he is the only candidate that can take the state out of the woods .
The Director General of Moddibo campaign Organisation Barister Joshua Wungari at a press conference in Yola on Thursday said that his principal is fully in the race for the April 11 gubernatorial election.
” He is still much in the race he cannot sacrifice his integrity and competence for anyone else. All we know is that his party at the National level decided to have an alliance with APC, to support the ambition of Major General Muhammadu Buhari since they don’t have a presidential candidate and not on Adamawa governorship contest”
“Somebody from outside the state cannot decide for us who we should choose as our leader. We will decide where we want to go and we cannot gamble our future” he said.
The DG, called on the electorates to come out enmasse and vote for Moddibo and others PDM candidates on April 11″ It is also worthy of note to let the people understand that Moddibo did not defect to APC or has no plan of doing so” He said.
He however appealed to the people of the state to vote for the 25 candidates fielded by the PDM for the state house of Assembly.
"They called Goodluck Jonathan, who gave you YouWIN and SURE-P, and PRESSID Scholarships clueless. So what do we call APC that gives you wheelbarrow? They said GEJ was tribalistic yet his NSA, CDS, IGP, CNS, CGP and minister of defense were from the North. So what do we say of President Muhammadu Buhari whose DG DSS is from his own hometown and whose Minister of Defense, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Air Staff, NSA, IGP, CGP, CGI, CGP are all from his Northern Region? You see, no matter how far falsehood has travelled, it must eventually be overtaken by truth!"
