FG is monitoring every movement of Boko Haram-NSA
The national security adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan has assured that the federal government is monitoring every movement of the terrorist group Boko Haram. According to Col. Sambo Dasuki, ‘every movement of the terrorists in being monitored and every necessary detail are being taken care of to rid the country of the last bastion of terrorist’s infestation.
He said aside the Chibok girls, other Nigerian girls, boys, men and women were abducted by the terrorists and all efforts are being made to rescue them all.
He said the federal government is making every effort to make sure that the 219 chibok girls were rescued from the Boko Haram group. He said except for the Sambisa forest, most of the territory under Boko Haram in the past has been recaptured by the military. He said soon the Sambisa forest will be recaptured. He added that the Sambisa forest is the last area with the terrorist group.
Meanwhile, the DG of the national orientation agency and director of the national information centre, Mike Omeri on the one year anniversary of the abduction of the chibok girls, told representatives of the girls that the federal government made the rescue a priority. He said the national information centre was set up to constantly inform Nigerians on the effort of the federal government to wipe out terrorism out of the area and to rescue the girls.
He said that the government remains resolute in finding and returning the girls to their homes and families. He added that they will continue to increase their effort at ensuring their safe return.
