The military has evacuated the 275 women and children rescued from Sambisa forest from Malkohi Camp in Yola to unknown destination.
The IDPs were brought to the Malkohi Camp about three weeks ago by the military who handed them over to officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
A source at the camp told newsmen that the IDPs were taken in buses by the military to Yola Airport where they boarded a military plane to unknown destination.
” They just told us that it’s purely a military affairs”, the source who preferred anonymity said.
When contacted, the Senior Information Officer of NEMA, Sani Datti, confirmed the evacuation but said it was a purely military affair which he can’t comment on.
Effort to get the military to comment on the matter proved abortive.
